Welcome to Heidi Rounds Drawing Studio. I work as a professional artist who was raised and currently lives in Denver, CO. I have a passion for art and have been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would draw the covers of my favorite books. I taught myself to duplicate the images I was observing. I learned that, in drawing from life, the smaller details were what helped to create a more dynamic piece of art.

I enjoy drawing the human form and take a lot of time to find and accentuate the smaller details that make the subject unique.  After years of instruction and drawing live models, I have a clear understanding of the human figure and portrait.  I believe that these skills help create a finished product that shows the true spirit of the subject.

In addition to portraits, I love to draw custom work for my clients. Clear photographs with high contrast make beautiful drawings and are always a welcome change from my usual portrait work.
